We have played this game probably 10-15 times and still don't quit understand the process of winning. But it's super fun, and kind of addicting. Your playing a numbers game, and strategizing how to win . We have read the instructions before, during, and after the game. So honestly each time we kind of change the rules, and it's a great game. Locking the column and taking away a die makes the game very competitive, especially if you are playing with adults.
The game is recommended for ages 8 and up, but I would suggest maybe 12 and older. My husband and I played with our 8 year old family members, and I think for them it was more work than fun. But for us it's a super fun thinking game and we will continue to play with friends. We need to figure out how to purchase another score sheet pad. We have definitely used front and back pages.

Good super fun thinking game

Similar to another popular dice game yet still unique and different on its own, this one requires lucky rolls of the dice and an ever evolving strategy in order to maximize the number of points gained by the end. All the while you are trying to stop others from earning points and trying to ensure that they gain point deducting penalties. It is definitely a good family game, especially for those who enjoy a little healthy competition. The object is to have the most points by crossing out as many numbers as you can in four colored-rows, but you must be careful with your decisions as numbers can only be crossed off left to right, and you must do so quickly before a row becomes locked by another player. Game has the added benefit of helping keeping ones arithmetic skills sharpened. 

Game comes with 6 dice (2 white and 1 each of blue, red, yellow and green), 100 score sheets (it is a pad of 50 and you use each sheet twice, once on the front side and flip it over to play a new game on the back side) and a instruction sheet. All contents fit nicely in a small, easy to store card sized box with an easy to open and close flip top lid with magnetic closure. Game is quick paced so never a dull moment. It took a minute to learn but it became easy to catch on. Everyone plays each turn, even if it is not your turn to roll the dice.

Fast, Fun, Luck, and Strategy

My great grandson is soon to be 8. This game is appropriate 
for his age level and up. The family has been involved in
Friday night and Saturday night events. It's fun family bonding 
time and quality time. This is a very fast paced game from the
beginning to end but everyone was having a ball. It was easy 
for my great grandson to learn too.

iReview4u: Quixx Dice Game 8+ Years of Age

We just recently learned how to play Qwixx. Like the box says, it is "a fast family dice game". It's also a lot of fun!
It's designed for two to five players aged 8 and up. Each round takes about fifteen minutes to play.
It comes in a bright study box with a magnetic closure flap. The contents of the box include six dice. Two dice are white with black spots, and four single die with white spots are red, yellow, blue, and green. There are also 100 score sheets, and a rules of play guide (with instructions also in Spanish).
I like that everyone plays every turn, and there's no boring "waiting for my turn" times. Children learn the importance of decision making and probability. The fast pace makes it also a blast to play at adult parties.
It's very portable, and easy to take along to friends houses, and on vacations.
The object of the game is to score the most points by crossing out as many numbers, from left to right, in the four color-rows as possible while avoiding penalty points.
The only part of the instructions, that initially had me puzzled, was about "locking two rows in a first action", but after playing a few rounds, the entire game came together for us, and we are hooked!
You can buy more scorecards, but I decided that I will laminate a set of them to use with dry erase markers.

Fast Fun Dice Game

QWIXX is a fast paced, addictively fun game. The die are rolled and players race to fill up their individual cards with the highest score possible. It is a game of strategy as you have to consider how you need to first proceed. We've played this game multiple times since we got it. It is best to play with older kids (10+) and other adults because there is bit of math involved as well as strategy. The packaging is great; the box is sturdy and all the content fits well for easy clean up and handling. The one concern we have with QWIXX is one others have voiced in reviews of this game; there is a limited number of recording sheets and they are used up quickly depending on how often you play this game. Some have laminated the sheets and reuse them with dry erase markers. Others have made copies. On the manufacturer's website, you can order more recording sheets. I'm going to need to buy more recording sheets soon and am hopeful that my neighborhood toy store carries them. If you can resolve this one matter, this game is quick and fun to play. You need to benefit from a bit of luck and a bit of strategic game play in order to have a very successful round and game.

Very addicting game

Hello All! I received the 'Gamewright Qwixx Dice Game Ages 8+' for review purposes and we loved it! There were only two of us playing but the game went fairly quick and the instructions were well written with tips and color diagrams. The basic idea of the game is to mark off numbers on the scorepad in order to block off an entire color, the person with the most boxes marked off will likely have more points etc. The game comes in a nice package and will store well. It would also be a great gift for a family of two or more. I can't wait to play another dice game by this company. The bloom looked interesting! Would I recommend the Qwixx Dice game... yes of course.

Fun and Easy to Play

This dice game initially looked like it would be simple, but I definitely did not understand the directions upon first read. I had to seek out an online tutorial video to help understand the rules. After a few games, my family and I finally got the hang of it and had a good competitive game. It's definitely a thinking game, which my dad loved. I like that the game doesn't take up much space, and the box securely closes for safe keeping of game pieces. The scoring pad is double sided which is great, I initially thought we'd run out of the scoring pad quickly. I also love that you can play with just 2 players, as so many games require 3 or more.

Fun once you get the hang of it

T gamewright brand family dice game took a little bit to understand but once we got the instructions down it was pretty fun. It came with several gaming pads and some multicolored dice. It states it is a 2-5 player game but I think you could have 6 playing easily. Just have to share dice:). It also came with a a fold out book that shows other fun gamewright brand games that you could choose from. Pretty fun little game and it can be stored back in the box it came in.

Dice Game

I know this is a great game and super fun. But its hard without the dice and specifically without the right colored dice. Not sure if I got a bad copy of the game or if the cheaper version just comes without dice. Would have been nice to know.
